Eh… yesterday the site was down. Who knows why… not that I had much to write about. It was mostly useless ranting about shoujo and smoothies. I went to try that new smoothie shop down by Subway. Some mad expensive stuff… and not enough fruit chunks in it. Oooooh, the injustice…
********
(for some stupid reason this week, I’m having trouble keeping straight everyone’s names…)
Mitsuki is cooking breakfast while Takayuki is still in bed, so she wakes him up. She notes that the soap runs out quickly when there are two people using one bottle. Mitsuki asks what he wants for dinner and how cooking is fun if someone else is eating it. But she hates how that it’s the “usual.”

Breakfast time!
The waitresses at the restaurant are worried about the manager, saying that he’s looking at them lecherously (not likely, no guy would ever look at them, no 10% gratuity for you!). Weirdness… Anyway, Takayuki gets off work and gets on the bus, only to meet Mitsuki and her coworker. She sees him get off at the bus stop in front of the hospital…
The nurse greets Takayuki and reprimands him for looking sad, saying that smiling will brighten Haruka’s life. He greets Haruka and says that he always wants to see her when she mentions how she was so worried when he didn’t come earlier. Takayuki expresses how all his worries disappear when he’s with her, causing her to become happy. However, he accidentally mentions “old times,” but explains it with the excuse that life has been hectic. He sits with her and she says she’d like to stay like this forever.
Haruka blushes a lot… maybe a symptom of social phobia?
At dinner, he jokes that Ishida is scary. She asks about Haruka and he says that nothing’s changed. But the next day, Mitsuki seems melancholy as he goes to visit Haruka. At the hospital, Haruka says she’s doing fine because he comes to visit her all the time and that she still really likes him. When he gets home, Mitsuki grabs him and kisses him. She asks if he will always be with her because she’s suddenly become afraid. She asks him not to see Haruka anymore, but he responds that he’d promised to help and that she should be care about her best friend some more. Mitsuki says that she has betrayed Haruka and they are no longer best friends. Takayuki says how he feels responsible for the accident when asked about it. She also asks him if he still likes Mitsuki, causing him to hesitate, eliciting a hard slap on the face from Haruka. And on that note, he decides not to see Haruka anymore.

Oblivious to the drama outside her room…
Later, the waitresses notice that Takayuki is acting melancholy. The manager says that his daughter was also in the hospital, and she was around the age of the two waitresses. Life seems to proceed “normally” with Mitsuki and Takayuki together. But yet there is no happiness. On his day off, he goes to work overtime because he has more time now since he doesn’t go to the hospital. At home, Mitsuki cries because she is alone.
He tales out the trash at work and sees Akane and wonders if something has happened to Haruka. He gets a phone call from Mitsuki, who wants to talk about their problems, but he goes to visit Haruka, though nothing’s wrong. She asks why he hasn’t come recently and says that it must be hard for him with exams. Haruka says that she’ll pray hard for him. They kiss again and promise to go the festival together. While they’re kissing, he notices a scar on her chest and says that there’s no need to rush because she needs to rest.

Don’t ask how he finds the scar…
Akane is then seen standing in the rain while crying, saying how she “can’t anymore…”
Perhaps it’s time for the truth to be revealed…
I have one more small complaint so far… it seems that a lot of anime romance series have drama only because the characters aren’t truthful about each other or don’t say what’s on their mind. Oh well, drama is necessary. Just as long it’s not Meteor Garden “OH GOD MY FOOT WAS LOST IN A CAR ACCIDENT AND I CAN’T PLAY THE PIANO ANYMORE” drama. Actually, I think there was a scene from that show similar to this one. A girl’s in the hospital, guy is caring for her, different girl calls him up and says she can’t live without him… Chinese soap operas are funnier than the American ones.
