Hoooboy, I finally got done with exams so now it’s time for another round of Aa! Megamisama. Anyway, it’s party time at Sayoko’s! But whatever possessed that arrogant girl to let Keiichi invite his friends too? He brought along Otaki and Tamiya for the love of goddess. With Megumi, Skuld, Hasegawa, and Urd in tow as well, the Christmas party is underway!
Booze, ice cream, and goddesses. We’ve got a party!
Ouch, they’re all dressed so casually at such a formal party. To make matters worse, the sempai are eating their way through the buffet like pigs. Of course, Urd is drinking enough booze to fill an oil tanker while Skuld is snarfing down ice cream. Typical party with this bunch, I suppose. Sayoko finally makes her grand entrance and greets her guests. She says she has “entertainment” planned. This can’t be good.
Snow White…?
Sayoko shines the spotlight on Belldandy and asks her to help with the entertainment. As usual, Belldandy suspects that nothing is amiss. Not sure how exactly Sayoko would think defeating Belldandy in party games is a great victory, but hey, she even rigged the judges with her own relatives.
With the singing contest underway, we already know that Belldandy will win this one, though having her sing the OP from season one is a bit odd for some reason. The magic contest is worth the price of admission, if only to see Belldandy in a tight magician’s outfit. Lion taming doesn’t work much better for Sayoko as Belldandy treats the giant cat like a kitten. With even the swimsuit contest going to Belldandy, Megumi comments that Belldandy is the perfect girl and he’s lucky to have her all to himself. Keiichi considers that he’s had a goddess to himself all this time and whether or not it’s selfish.
Magical girl indeed…
Sayoko offers Bell a congratulatory drink and Keiichi panics, only to have Megumi stop him from preventing the toast. She asks if he wants to see Bell drunk… well, that would be interesting, right? With Keiichi subdued, Belldandy keeps downing alcohol until Sayoko is almost totally wasted. She pulls out a bottle of the strongest alcohol on hand in an attempt to bring Belldandy’s massive binge drinking to a terrifying end… only to begin throwing up in the arms of Aoshima.
After Sayoko is carried out by EMS, Belldandy admits that she knows little about alcohol. Megumi comes by with a cola to sober up Bell, though Keiichi laughs that she doesn’t need it. In any case, Bell is intrigued by this new beverage that she’s never tried before and chugs it down. Hasegawa comes by, completely blitzed, complaining about her lack of physical maturity. Oddly, Belldandy is now absolutely drunk and sobs at the sight of Hasegawa’s plight. She blesses Sora with her powers and helps Sora… uh, grow. Not taller… larger. So we have a giant drunk Hasegawa in the dining room. At least nobody thinks it’s odd since it’s most likely part of the entertainment. In the confusion, Belldandy has bolted from the party. Urd is surprised to hear that Bell had such a reaction to the soda.
The look on Belldandy’s face is priceless.
Well, Hasegawa is “larger” now.
Keiichi runs off in search of Bell, only to fall flat on his face. Meanwhile, Belldandy has met a hungry cat and in her drunken state, teleports it onto Urd’s head, which Skuld laughs at. While the two sisters duke it out at the formal dinner, Keiichi is still clumsily walking about town and is having little luck. To complicate matters, Marller is back as well… only to have Belldandy knock over the lightpole she was standing on. I guess Belldandy thought “Lightpole-san” was tired of standing up like that… When an annoyed Marller confronts Belldandy, the goddess only takes pity on the demon’s unhappiness and fulfills Marller’s wish by… keeling over. Haha, “my downfall is your happiness.” That’s a bit to literal, but we get a very fanservicey picture of Bell lying on the ground. Shamed by this, Marller runs off crying.
Mew?
Keiichi runs about, wondering if Belldandy is scattering happiness… well, he isn’t getting any as he’s experiencing so much pain. While Belldandy is helping Hijiri with her stuffed animal, he finally catches up with her. Hijiri’s cell phone rings and it’s Urd on the other end. As the elder goddess analyzes the situation, she realizes that Belldandy is scattering happiness all about but is taking his portion of happiness in order to preserve the law of preservation of happiness. Good goddess, that’s a lame law. Well, at least that explains all of Keiichi’s clumsy accidents. Urd hangs up as Skuld is occupying her attention and Belldandy somehow manages to escape and continue spreading happiness.
As Keiichi avoids near death on several occasions, he keeps following the trail of happiness being spread. Belldandy has made her way to a park and is desperately trying to give everyone happiness. Too bad next on the list is Aoshima, who asks for Belldandy to give him some happiness (geez, he’s suck a sappy sweet talker). With Belldnady in “granting every bizarre wish mode,” it appears that Aoshima might win for once. Keiichi catches up and hears Aoshima say that he wants Belldandy. However, Belldandy says that’s the on ething she can’t do since she already has Keiichi. Awwww! Doesn’t it make you feel warm and fuzzy. Aoshima asks why she can’t grant him her wish and she responds that she has a bigger wish and that is to be with Keiichi… a wish more important than anything else even if someone else wishes that she leave him. Of course, she’ll grant him any other wish.
Not taking rejection well, Aoshima grabs Belldandy and tries to force himself on her. Keiichi calculates the rate of misfortune that he’s had and the happiness being spread. Ah, he’s realized that it’s out of balance and the park’s fountain explodes onto Aoshima. The two lovers run off in the confusion. Keiichi comments to himself that this is perfect as he’s running hand in hand with Belldandy even though he’s scared of losing her again and that one day he might have to let go of her.
They finally run far enough and Belldandy asks him if he has had any misfortune and he responds that it’d be bad if he had to let go of her hand one day. They share a meaningful glance as they hold hands. Unfortunately, Belldandy grants his wish and passes out. Whoops, looks like their hands are now stuck together. Back at Sayoko’s place (well, it’s now a war-torn house), Urd returns Keiichi’s call and says that all should be well in the morning. Oh well, not like he’s not enjoying holding her hand.
Hand in hand.
Yet another cute and fuzzy episode of AMG. I feel refreshed after my terrifying bout with final exams. Episode 5 raw is out, you read my previous post… need English subs… TOTORO SMASH!
