You didn’t really think Urd was a sultry dark-skinned lady without some men in her past, did you? Well, one of them drops by for a visit. Too bad she’s living… with another man. Unfortunately, Keiichi is going to the target for a world of pain. This old boyfriend apparently still carries a torch for Urd.

Of course, not everything is as it always seems and there’s more to the story, but you’ll have to watch to find out.

Oooh, new ending sequence! Full of new potential hints of future episodes! New ending song isn’t as good as the previous one, though.

Foreshadowing of a future episode? I remember the manga chapter where the goddesses join Megumi’s softball team. It was a great chapter and I think it’d make a great filler episode. That and we get to see Bell in a baseball uniform (and Urd without structural integrity garments).

All I remember from the manga was that Sigel was Banpei’s annoying girlfriend and they get into random trouble and stuff like that. Annoying Skuld invention as usual. Kami-sama should give her a good dose of corporal punishment.

On the other hand, Keiichi’s parents were pretty awesome. Though you’d think they’d tell Keiichi to tie the knot with Bell. Asian parents, you know… I figure if they make an episode about them, it’d probably at least involve the racing part of the manga arc.

I’ve been trying to figure out how they would involve Hild without Velsper. It escapes me at the moment.

With Peorth gone, there’s now yet another girl coming into the mix. This time around it’s a certain Miss Chihiro Fujimi. Turns out this spicy gal is the original founder of the Motor Club and she’s suddenly returned out of the blue! Things are going to be shaken up a bit by her entrance, but it appears that the two sempai are the ones that are going to be hit the hardest…

Of course, you can’t go very far with AMG without having some sort of racing scene. For reasons that will eventually be revealed, Chihiro and Keiichi must race to the death (okay, not to the death, but I felt like using hyperbole there).

Chihiro was always a great character. No idea who is doing her voice this time around. Same as the AMG movie? Sounds a bit more girly this time around than the mature voice we had earlier. Of course, Peorth’s voice actress has remained the same yet sounds significantly more… um, flighty in the series. Geez, I need some better adjectives…

He loves me, he loves me not… A goddess in a leather swimsuit sits up in Heaven plucking the petals off a rose as she awaits someone to call her. Looks like someone’s overeager to please a human… and she’s quite full of herself too. Ah, Peorth, what kind of wish won’t you fulfill…

Down on Earth, Keiichi suddenly feels a chill down his spine. If only he knew. Anyway, he’s showing Bell some pictures that he’s taken with the camera he bought from Megumi (at a hefty price too… some sibling love there, eh?). Apparently Megumi convinced him that a camera is needed by two people in love to save their memories. I suppose that’s true. Still, 30,000 yen… but Bell seems happy since the pictures seem to convey the warm feelings from their memories. Yet Keiichi remembers that their hands were still stuck together at the time, mainly because Bell didn’t want to let go… awwww, how cute, they’re holding hands again! Unfortunately, Skuld brandishes her latest invention… Murder-kun!

Before Skuld can go all Texas Chainsaw Massacre on Keiichi, Urd intervenes with an Urd bolt and helps herself to the pictures. She decides that they’re nice pictures, which Keiichi says is because Bell makes a good model, although Bell herself attributes it to Keiichi’s skills. Urd smiles as she looks at the pictures and thinks to herself that’s not quite what she meant (at first I thought she was referring to how she took perverted pictures of a sleeping Bell and K-1 with hands still stuck together). Keiichi goes to the phone and tries to call up Megumi to show off his pictures… and he accidentally dials Heaven… again. Statisticians over the world are fainting.

As Peorth picks up on the other end, he’s in a state of shock. Peorth then pops out of the camera lens and introduces herself as the goddess Peorth from the Earth Assistance Agency. While Peorth poses herself and shows herself off to Keiichi, the poor guy just remains in shock and wonders how the heck he managed to call another goddess down to his pad. He finally shakes himself out of it and asks with resignation if she’s here to grant him a wish. Peorth gets all excited and exclaims that he’s right. Apparently she’s ready to fulfill ANY wish. Keiichi apologizes and says that he’s kinda full on the goddess side of things.

Urd walks past and asks Keiichi to tell Megumi to bring her H.G. Wells movie over. Peorth’s jaw drops and both goddesses act surprised. When Skuld walks past, it seems like the entire world has turned upside down as Peorth wonders how the heck two goddesses are in the same house. Belldandy comes along and exclaims that’s it’s so nice to see Belldandy, but Peorth shakes off Belldandy and says her agency is a rival of Belldandy’s organization.

Anyway, Peorth says that Keiichi called her down so it’s all clear cut that she’s here with permission. Belldandy is shocked that Keiichi would call another goddess but Keiichi protests and says that he didn’t call intentionally. Peorth continues her sales pitch and asks to hear his wish. Keiichi asks Peorth to please go back to Heaven and gets only a storm of prickly roses in return. Peorth says that such an indecisive person is obviously the reason why Belldandy still hasn’t gone back to Heaven (implying she didn’t get a wish from Keiichi either). Belldandy says that she is under contract but Peorth says that’s impossible since she’s still here…. And Keiichi interrupts and says he made a rather “reckless” wish. Peorth just laughs at such a wish and makes Keiichi feel rather idiotic.

When the Fourth Goddess realizes that it’s the truth, she explains that it’ll be a case of double contracts, which isn’t regulated, so Peorth can just stay and fulfill his wish as it is befitting of a goddess first class. Looks like Peorth isn’t going anywhere… Keiichi goes over to the worried Belldandy and says that he’ll get rid of Peorth somehow. While Belldandy says it’s okay, it’s clear that all heck is going to break loose. Peorth sits outside and says that she’ll stop at nothing to fulfill Keiichi’s wish.

Keiichi tries to think of wishes that he could make but can’t think of anything really appropriate. Engineers lacking creativity? Who would have thought? Meanwhile, Belldandy is setting the table and trying to reassure herself that everything is okay. She finally calls Keiichi to dinner and the hungry engineer walks down the hall saying that he’s really satisfied with his life. Too bad Peorth ambushes him and drags him into a room full of food. Keiichi insists that he has to eat Bell’s food but Peorth uses her magic to bring the food to life and force themselves on Keiichi’s stomach. As Keiichi screams, Peorth congratulates herself on her own greatness. Urd asks what’s going on and Peorth says she’s just doing her job but Urd says it sounds like torture.

Keiichi drags himself out of the room and Peorth says that Keiichi looks very satisfied. Not putting up with this nonsense, Urd shows Peorth the picture of Belldandy that Keiichi took, saying that nothing Peorth can do will win over Keiichi. She explains to Peorth that a photo like that shows a very trusting expression, which can only be taken by someone who has Bell’s complete trust. And that is why Keiichi is still eating Bell’s food in the next room. I can only imagine how badly his stomach hurts right now. Ah, that’s our Keiichi, always thankful for what Belldandy cooked for him. Keiichi’s good nature is what Belldandy trusts, so Peorth lost this round. Peorth says to herself that the reason why she was called down was because Belldandy didn’t fulfill the contract somehow… and Peorth won’t give up because she hates to lose.

As Keiichi takes a soothing bath, he worries that if he doesn’t think of a wish quickly, Peorth is going to do something terrible to him. The door slides open and a barely clad (well, not that she’s ever really fully clothed) Peorth steps in. That was quick… Time for a hot girl to wash his back? Oh, how terrible, Keiichi. He stammers, thinking that it’s Belldandy for whatever reason (Peorth trying to mimic Bell’s voice?) and says that the wish he came up with was that he’d want to turn the bath into a hot spring. She says that’s definitely not his true wish and she’s ready to give him some better service than what Belldandy has. Time for some extreme back-washing… Keiichi runs out of the room and flees the “sexual harassment.”

Still, I bet that felt good and wishes that Belldandy would do that to him. He tries to head to bed but Peorth ambushes him in the hallway again and decides to transform his clothing into something more… sensual. But I think pink bathrobes aren’t really seductive on guys… at all. The persistent fourth Goddess worries him a lot since she’s so persistent and that it’ll make Belldandy worry. He tries to get to his bed but has a bad feeling about what’s waiting for him inside his room. Well, there’s just Peorth in there in some hot lingerie, spraying perfume, and sipping wine. Looks like he has to crash in Bell’s room tonight! He explains to the surprised Bell that Peorth took over his room. Bell tries to go boot Peorth but Keiichi says she doesn’t have to since Peorth’s already “asleep” (hey, you wouldn’t let your girlfriend see Peorth in your bed).

Even though it’s late, K-1 and Bell talk about whether or not Keiichi has a wish yet. He says that it’s tough to come up with a wish. Bell asks if his original wish was good enough. Keiichi says that it’s definitely enough since from the bottom of his heart he’s happy to be with her. Wish fulfilled, simple enough, right? He lies down to sleep and mumbles that he’d never make a wish to anyone else but her. She kneels beside him and puts his head on her lap, thanking him. Awwwwwwwww… However, Bell is clearly still worried about Peorth.

Meanwhile, Peorth is feeling rather buzzed and is sitting hi Keiichi’s bed hiccupping and wondering how late Keiichi goes to bed. Hah, her aggressiveness drove him to spend the night in Bell’s room. The opposite effect of Peorth’s intentions… too bad, Peorth. Maybe next episode you’ll do better. It’s pretty clear that Peorth is here to stay for a rather long time… Fine by me. Less screen time for Skuld that way.

Well, I’m off on a trip to Asia this week… so no blog updates for at least eight days or something like that. I’m psyched for episode 11… Chihiro is one spunky gal!

Keiichi’s got the painful job of cleaning the club room while the sempai head off to a meeting. At least Belldandy’s enthusiastic about cleaning up the giant mess that the sempai left behind. Unfortunately, the stacks of boxes are poorly balanced and they crash on top of Hasegawa, but thankfully Belldandy saves her, though she is forced to use her Angel, which Sora apparently witnesses. A suspicious figure watches from afar and says that she’s “chosen” Keiichi.

As K-1 walks out of the ceramics lab, he complains about how he failed at completing his projhect. Oh well, at least Bell has lunch for him. When he opens his locker, he finds a letter inside. Shiho Sakakibara? Keiichi wonders who this girl is as he reads the letter. From his point of view, it appears that this girl is confessing her love for him. Sounds like this is the first time he got one of these. Urd pops out of nowhere and taunts Keiichi. Belldandy’s eyes bug out as Urd and Keiichi try to figure out what to do with the letter. Bell regains her composure and says that the girl deserves a proper reply since it takes a lot of courage to confess such a thing. Keiichi mutters that he wishes Bell could be at least a little jealous…

The trio goes outside to the arranged meeting place to find Shiho. As they walk, Keiichi wonders if Belldandy really trusts him… or is he someone that no girl world feel jealous for? Urd notes that Shiho is quite a college-age cutie. Even Belldandy agrees that Shiho is quite beautiful. Shiho runs over to Keiichi and is quite excited.

When Keiichi tries to tell her off politely, she merely ignores him and orders him to stand still… apparently her “skills of divination” have revealed that a non-human psychic wave is coming out of him. Keiichi assumes that Shiho has discovered the goddesses’ secret… but no, she’s just an amateur exorcist who thinks that he’s possessed by an evil spirit. Urd demands to know why Belldandy acts like she doesn’t care about the intrusive little girl. She just replies that regardless of Shiho, she will trust her Keiichi.

Shiho invites herself over to the temple and changes into her priestess outfit. Turns out Skuld is freaking out this entire time as she’s afraid of ghosts. Sheesh, what kind of goddess is that? Keiichi apologizes to Belldandy for the whole mess. Bell admits that she was afraid that Shiho had really fallen for Keiichi and have been in for some heartbreak… but Bell also asks if that was wishful thinking. Keiichi says of course not… and their warm moment is interrupted by Shiho… who demands that Keiichi synchronize breathing with her. As Shiho leans in closer and closer, Belldandy stands there in shock. The light bulb explodes in a shower of glass shards and Shiho exclaims that it must be some sort of poltergeist. She slaps some of those crazy Asian paper spiritual wards on the walls and some evil spirits pop out of nowhere.

Urd sighs and says that those talismans really summon demons… Belldandy appears to be in a trance until Urd snaps her out of it. After the goddesses take down the wards, the spirits disappear and Shiho exclaims that she really does have the talent. Oh great, now she thinks she’s some sort of real exorcist. Shiho thanks Keiichi for sticking with her and kisses him in thanks. Frack you, Shiho! Belldandy stands there in shock once again and more light bulbs explode and other spiritual phenomena begin to affect the entire house. While Skuld hides in the kitchen, Shiho thinks that there are evil spirits challenging her again. Now she wants to stay longer and eradicate more demons.

Urd looks at Belldandy with worry in her eyes as the situation seems to be getting out of control. Urd explains to Keiichi that Bell’s power is overflowing because of the jealousy in her heart. Despite being a goddess, Belldandy is susceptible to such emotions. She explains that being in love consists of both happiness and sadness. I suppose as goddesses should be empathetic towards all people, therefore that must include all emotions.

However, this is the first time that Belldandy experienced such an emotion and she’s holding it all inside until it explodes. Belldandy sits outside and wonders why she can’t suppress the dark feelings within her heart. Back inside, Shiho has drawn one of those magical seal thingies on the floor and is summoning… something. Keiichi takes the opportunity to explain to Belldandy that it was his fault that he wasn’t clear to Shiho. The wannabe exorcist finally summons… a… canine. Oh great, here we go again. Urd exclaims that Shiho has summoned Garm, the watchdog that guards the entrance to Hades. When Shiho says that she didn’t mean to summon Garm, our demonic canine friend grows angry and begins to attack. Whoops, there goes the side of the house again.

Urd can’t fight off Garm by herself and Skuld can’t erase the magic circle. Belldandy just stands there in a trance again, unable to do anything. Internally, somehow Belldandy can’t come up with the will to do anything. Shiho grabs Keiichi out of fear and Belldandy’s energy overflows once again because of her jealousy. Urd notices that the jealousy and pent-up energy within Belldandy has weakened her seal and is capable of defeating Garm. But how does one harness that energy? Oh, the Urd way… Our favorite dark-skinned goddess takes control of Keiichi’s body and forces him to fondle Shiho in inappropriate places. At this.. terrifying sight, Belldandy comes to the realization that she was scared and her weakened seal allows her to send Garm away.

After that particular ordeal, Bell kneels on the ground in tears. She tells Keiichi that she’s a terrible person because she was worried about losing him instead of being worried for Shiho despite the fact that she told Keiichi that she trusted him. She now thinks that Keiichi must hate her. Keiichi says that he’s been a terrible person because he’s been taking advantage of her trust. He continues by saying that falling in love doesn’t always mean that there will be good things happening but it means that you’ll experience a lot of emotions together, some bad, but that just proves that they want to experience those emotions together. And so they embrace again. Cute, right?

Urd watches the happy couple but suddenly feels uneasy as Shiho exclaims that she definitely has great power as an exorcist. Oh wow, she took the credit for all this? Urd just smiles and says that Shiho might just be some sort of genius… after all, she did summon Garm, right? Unintentionally, but still… there’s the matter of how it’s Shiho’s fault for summoning Garm and blowing a hole in the side of the house. Oh well, at least Keiichi and Belldandy get the chance to act lovey-dovey.

Wait a minute, if Shiho witnessed the goddesses using their powers to fight Garm… So… she thinks it was all her own power? What about Sora seeing Holy Bell at the beginning of the episode? I’m confused now. Well, in any case, I guess our self-proclaimed exorcism master is now off to cause trouble for lots of other people. Kind of like the Ghostbusters, but more comedy and destruction.

Oh Peorth, will you ever stop abusing poor Keiichi? The poor man just wants some time alone with Bell and you won’t give him a moment’s peace. Well, I suppose your job is to give him a taste of Heaven… though I don’t think he’ll nibble. Force-feeding him won’t help either.

However, she finally does get Keiichi to make a wish and she’s… um, going to do… “stuff,” er… to fulfill it. What did Keiichi wish for? You’ll have to wait and see. Yes, it does involve additional fanservice (goddess jiggle counter… SWITCH ON!) but you’ll see that all turns out for the better.

Still, kinda sucks to have four goddesses living with you in the same house. I mean, it’s not like they’re having LAN parties…

Peorth is still over at Keiichi’s place, mooching off his rent (come to think of it, he is technically doing the same thing). She’s the seductive type, always trying to seduce Keiichi to her side. After all, the organization she works for is in direct competition with Belldandy’s home office. There’s also some rivalry between Bell and Peorth that will be soon revealed.

Unfortunately for Keiichi, Peorth has been reading a lot of manga since she has come to visit. With all those sappy romantic stories out there, she’s decided that she must entice poor Keiichi into a hokey idealistic “date” (torture?). Too bad things don’t work out like that. In fact, can she even have him all to herself? For example, her choice of movie doesn’t work out quite well… but Bell is there to rescue him! “The Last Rumba,” indeed.

After some of the normal chaos that is typical of an episode of AMG, things should calm down when everyone goes for a relaxing swim, right? Well, Peorth or no Peorth, even Urd’s presence would make things… um, not peaceful. Hey, she likes fashion and seduction too! Will the day end in a terrifying conclusion or will things turn out for the better?

And no, it’s not what you think. Not CPR either!

Another lecture is over and Belldandy congratulates him on completing another tough day. She admits enjoying learning such new things and they both giggle about how they enjoy being together. However, when Belldandy suddenly rotates 90 degrees, we find out the sempai are dragging them off to yet another Motor Club event.

They’re fundraising for a contest next month and are lurching around campus and scaring off any potential customers. Belldandy tries to find someone in need of their assistance and they find the Track Team in need of unlocking a door. Unfortunately, the sempai do it the USMC way and simply knock the door down. Ohtaki then finds himself chasing after another customer that skipped on his repair fee. Our spiky-haired friend sees Aoshima trying to coerce a girl with a broken-down bike. Right, just a “ride home” or maybe he’ll “buy her a new bike.” Try again, Aoshima… pffft. There’s one on every college campus. Ohtaki decides to interfere and use his skills to fix the scooter, lecturing Aoshima about how you shouldn’t just throw away things that you can still use and money can’t solve problems. When the girl turns to look at her benefactor, she blushes as she looks at him. Despite the awkward silence, the bike runs fine now and she thanks him a bit too enthusiastically as he runs off.

Another lecture ends and the conversation between Bell and K-1 mirrors their original one… except Ohtaki is stalking them from behind and saying how “nice it is.” At lunch, Belldandy is serving Keiichi far too much food and Hasegawa moans about how they should take their lovey-dovey behavior elsewhere. Ohtaki runs in and says that “it’s so nice.” When offered lunch, Keiichi is shocked that he refuses. Otaku just says that it must be nice to have a girlfriend. He opens the door and it’s the girl from before. He stammers something about the bike but she’s just here to give him a boxed lunch in return and then running off in embarrassment. Belldandy says that it’s clear the man is in love. Keiichi doesn’t believe that a man like Ohtaki could fall in love. Hasegawa looks up the girl and finds out that the mysterious girl, Yamano Satoko, is a hot item on campus. Meanwhile, Ohtaki is chowing down and solemnly decides to ask Keiichi a question but can’t seem to, so Belldandy does some weird magical thing so Satoko can feel Ohtaki’s emotions.

Belldandy then leads them to a lottery in the shopping district. Ohtaki pulls out some lottery coupons and wins a pair of amusement park tickets. Everyone tells him to invite Satoko to go with him and Belldandy leads him to the art center at the university to invite this very special girl. He stammers a bit but Belldandy uses her powers to make him drop the bento box, making the conversation flow more smoothly. Satoko sees the amusement park tickets and Ohtaki finally manages to ask her whether or not she can go with him. She accepts gladly and everything is well… right?

Wearing a cute pair of cat ears, Satoko is an odd match for the lanky Ohtaki. She decides to go on a ride as we see K-1, Bell, and Sora hide behind a building and maintain radio contact with Ohtaki to give him advice. They tell him to go inside… a cosplay photo studio. Didn’t see that one coming at all. I think Satoko and Ohtaki found a common interest. Who knew Ohtaki had a thing for cosplay? Well, I guess they can cosplay together.

They then go on other rides and we see Aoshima walk in with his business partners. Oh goddess, he owns the place? Aoshima is shocked to see the young couple head off to the merry-go-round and orders his men to shut it down so they can’t ride it. What a jerk. Apparently all the rides they want to go on are shut down… but someone apparently made the next one work. Sora says to Keiichi that someone is interfering and he realizes that Aoshima owns the place. Belldandy tells Keiichi that Ohtaki should take Satoko back to the university. I guess home turf?

Back at the university, Ohtaki wears a cosplay outfit and poses for a portrait as Satoko paints him. Apparently she got a burst of creativity from him. He asks if she thinks he’s weird but she says that he’s perfectly alright and helpful. Belldandy and Keiichi see this happy couple and realize that all is well but Aoshima watches from afar and won’t give up.

At yet another lecture, Bell and K-1 have another lovey-dovey conversation… and Ohtaki pops out again and demands advice about being invited to Satoko’s parents’ house. Bell tells him to be clean and manly, though I guess Ohtaki takes it too far by trying on a lot of weird “heroic” cosplay outfits and of course, his armor! They finally get him to settle down on something more traditional and Bell hands him a bouquet of flowers to use as a gift. Aoshima is still watching and Sayoko interrupts his plotting but he demands a favor from her… yikes. Boris, moose and squirrel!

The fateful moment of any relationship… meeting the father of the girl. Well, it’d be far more dangerous if Aoshima and Sayoko were along for the ride. And so we have those two buggers here, who reveal that Satoko’s father is the director of the university. Apparently those two schemers are here to discuss having the director disband the Motor Club. While Keiichi watches and worries, Belldandy isn’t worried as she pops into a smaller size and goes to watch.

Meanwhile, in the house’s kitchen, Satoko’s cooking has started burning and caused a sizable flame. Aoshima wants to throw water on it but Ohtaki says that this is a bad idea and that he’ll just smother it. Despite the warnings, Aoshima tosses some water onto the fire, resulting in only spreading the flames and splattering flaming fragments towards Satoko. Ohtaki jumps in the way and saves her… and don’t worry, apparently he’s still wearing his armor underneath his suit. I expect him to be fireproof anyway considering how manly and buff he is, but yeah, dorky armor saves the day. Belldandy covertly puts out the fire and I suppose things are okay now… except Aoshima is still around. The director of the university is impressed at Ohtaki and now expresses disgust at Aoshima. Turns out the director is some sort of legendary alumni racer and gets along with Ohtaki just fine.

The nexty day, Bell and K-1 are lovey-dovey after another lecture… only this time to have Ohtaki pop out in a weird costume with the director in pursuit with his own cosplay outfits declaring that they have similar hobbies and yelling something about being Ohtaki’s father in law. Looks like he’s aching for a son in law. Poor Ohtaki… I think. Satoko is a cutie after all. But that’s no comparison to the hot stuff in the next episode…

Whew, what a great episode. While it was pretty sick seeing Bell and Keiichi act all cute between classes, it was heartwarming to see Ohtaki put the moves on a girl in his own awkward way. You don’t always need Belldandy and Keiichi taking center stage in an episode. Ohtaki is a fine character in his own right. Besides, don’t we need a change of pace from sappy “KEIICHI-SAN! BELLDANDY!!!” episodes?

And of course, it’s always good to see Aoshima get his just desserts from someone he looks down on. Jerks like him end up in federal court for insider trading… something like that. Well, that or Robespierre comes after him and then Aoshima gets the chop-chop. Hmmm, time to stop reading French history before watching AMG…

No sign of Skuld in this episode. I finally got around to watching the most recent two discs of the English dub of season one and man is Skuld annoying. She really comes off as a little menace and the kind of annoying kid that you throw into trash cans before rolling them down a hill.

One last thing, while anime-manga comparison’s are LAR’s domain, what was up with the random addition of the cosplay to the episode? Which writer said “hey, let’s add some random cosplay to this episode” and got away with it? It was kind of cute, but random.

Edit: Frack me, is it “Ohtaki, “Otaki,” or “Ootaki?”

We return to our weekly schedule of goddess-packed action… okay, so maybe it’s not action-packed as I claim it to be. Perhaps if you include romantic hijinks and sparks flying between women competing for the attention of an engineering nerd? If only college was really like that…

Anyway, Peorth is still hanging out at the temple with Keiichi and company. Apparently she’s sick of her lack of progress and decides to heat things up with one of Urd’s pills. If you read the manga, you’ll know which story I’m talking about.

I know what all the Skuld pervs are thinking, but no, this isn’t a fantasy come true. It’s another of Peorth’s scheme going FUBAR. Can Keiichi survive the chaos? Will he live to see another day? Can Belldandy not explode and go berserker on our leather bikini-clad goddess? And who knew being a stud was such hard work?

Region 1 DVDs can’t come soon enough! Media Blasters… I have lots of spending money and I need DVDs!
